The GEOID field option has disappeared from the list in the Field Caluclator>field options. This is making it impossible for me to join data from a table (census data) to the shapefile. Anyone have any idea what's up?
check the table properties... I suspect that its visibility has been toggled off Begin reading in the link... subsequent to it is one on controlling visibility and other gems
Yes, I should've been more specific. That is exactly the problem I'm having. It was there, but now it's not.
There is no GEOID option in the field calculator and field calculations have nothing to do with joins. Are you perhaps meaning that there used to be a GEOID field in your table and in the table you are working with now, there isn't one and you need that field to perform a join?
