Modifying the "Abandon Water Assets" tool

Question

Has anyone modified the "Abandon Water Assets" tool to work with multiple point & line feature classes (i.e. move hydrants to abandoned hydrants, valves to abandoned valves, not just move to abandoned points)? I have a need for this, but I  want to see if anyone else has done it before I give it a try.

I didn't try, because at the time the fastest solution was to manually load abandoned features to each abandoned feature class then bulk deleting them from the active feature classes.  I should look into this once more, thanks for the reminder.

Robert, did you have any success with this? I'd like to setup a Translation Values table for this, but am having difficulty.
