Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Server 10.1

Question

Hello Friends,

Is there any one who can tell me if 'Portal For ArcGIS' is compatible with ArcGIS Server 10.1 Advanced Enterprise Edition?

If So are there any functionalities that portal for ArcGIS will not be supporting when coupled with ArcGIs Server 10.1?

Any other intresting facts/observations welcome as well.

That's true, but you have to configure and administer using 10.2.

From Help:

Yes. You can add 10.2 services to earlier versions of 10.x ArcGIS for Desktop. The fundamental structure and format of web service requests understood by services have not changed at version 10.2.

When a 10.2 ArcGIS Server site is federated with Portal for ArcGIS and you are connecting from a pre-10.2 version of ArcGIS for Desktop, you must access your services through ArcMap using Add Data > Add Data from Portal for ArcGIS. You cannot connect to the server by clicking Add ArcGIS Server.

Yes, you can register web services from ArcGIS 10.1 for Server with Portal for ArcGIS. These can then be used in Portal like any other registered web services. If So are there any functionalities that portal for ArcGIS will not be supporting when coupled with ArcGIs Server 10.1?
