percentage of two rasters

Hi, friends.

I would like to ask if it´s possible to calculate percentage of same values in cells between two rasters - digital elevation model. i need to know percentage of similarness of heights in these dems.

or can i do the same thing with two layers of contours?

similarity by location, or similarity in total?

by location... do a subtraction, preferably with a small tolerance to account for floating point representation or just small values.  The cell count of zeros divided by the total cell count is what you would need ... this is quasi-manual and not easily overcome

in total, doesn't make any sense, just quantify the elevation histograms if the areas are discrete and state the average and std devs (still not a great idea)
