Merge tool removed the subtype description, only brought over the value...??

Merged two Datasets into one and when doing so I lost the Subtype description and was replaced by the value. How can ensure the description is carried over as well?

Can you simply recreate the Subtypes and somehow process that column to be the Subtype Name?
