rebuild index

Question

Hi

When I try to use "Rebuild Indexes" geoprocessing tool for feature classes, the tool is not responding.

The feature classes originally created by using Oracle SQL with SDO_GEOMETRY and then registered with ArcSDE.

Is it not allowed to rebuild indexes with GP tool for these feature classes.

I am able to build indexes with Oracle SQL.

The tool should work against all spatial types.

Is this occurring with all your feature classes?

Are you connected as the data owner?

When you rebuild indexes with Oracle PL/SQL are you connected as the data owner?

What options are you using when you run the tool?

Does the tool stop responding immediately? How long are you waiting?

How many tables are owned by the same data owner?

go to Geoprocessing tool and on tools writ (creat feature index) it can help u
