In ARcGIS Dashboards - Allow Selectors to zoom to map when using enterprise services in ArcGIS Online

In ArcGIS Dashboards, the category selector can target maps with pan, zoom, and flash actions only if it is a hosted feature layer. It would be very helpful if this was expanded to enterprise services being used in ArcGIS online as well. I get this request from our users all the time - it is a major limitation of Dashboards currently. We rarely use hosted feature layers.

Is this a new behavior? We are using almost only referenced feature services and it never occured to me. Make sure to use the Features option vs. the Grouped Value option to be able to use the zoom/pan option with the map on select.

@Nicole_Ueberschär Thank you for pointing that out. I am interested in zooming when using Grouped Value. In one example, my users would like to see all buildings that are flooding in a community, and have it zoom to the community when they select the community in the filter.

What I usually do is to create a summary view that I publish together with the full dataset so I have one item per community as you have it in your case which then would allow me to use it in the category selector. Another option could be to create unique values with Arcade and then use that as selector.

How do you create the summary view - using a data expression or are you creating that in pro and publishing it as part of the service?

How do you create the unique values with arcade - there is no arcade option for selectors?
