Field Maps Designer Disables Photo Collection?

I have a feature service linked to SQLServer hosted in Enterprise and referenced in ArcGIS Online as a distributed collaboration. Most of the layers in the service have attachments enabled and when added to a map in ArcGIS Online and configured with a pop-up, the attachments work as expected in Field Maps. Photos can be taken or added and then show up at the bottom of the pop-up.

I created a template map where I also used Field Maps Designer

Photo collection is only disabled in online, but we are planning to add support in a future update! As you mentioned, if attachment elements have been configured with capture mode, it still works on mobile in the Field Maps app. There is also an option to support both capture AND a photo/video/audio upload as well if you want to allow more than just a capture input method
