KEY UPDATES:
- Some migrated posts may have unusual formatting. You may find posts created prior to August 13, 2026, that contain elements with additional spacing, that no longer align center or right, are either too large or too small, or otherwise appear different than their original formatting. Esri Staff and MVPs can edit their own posts at any time to adjust formatting or make other changes.
- Most (but not all) Places no longer feature their own individual boards. Questions, Blogs, Documents, Ideas, and the new Discussion and Poll post-types now live at the Place level. A selection of sorting options and filters at the top of each Place’s Latest Activity feed enable you to locate the type of content you're looking forward within that Category. Event posts are published within their respective Places, and appear in the Events Category or where the new Community structure can support Events widgets.
- The Recent Posts feed provides broad post filtering and sorting options. To get started, try filtering for your own posts, those you've participated in, or those you've bookmarked. Still can't find what you're looking for? Give the Search Dashboard a go.
- Blog and Document posts fall under now the Discussion post-type. Members with the correct permissions can still publish Blog and/or Document posts, but filtering searches these are included in the "Discussion" selection.

Whether you’re brand new to Esri Community or you’ve been a member for years, you’ll want to gather your bearings in this new environment. Much of the experience has been designed with familiarity in mind, but there are notable differences. Some changes you’ll come across have taken years of user feedback into consideration and improve on what we were able to deliver via past technology. In some cases, a formerly used feature isn’t available at this time.
