Experience Builder Export Table as CSV with Domain Description on Enterprise Issue

Having trouble using the Export Action to export my table to csv and seeing the domain descriptions. The export also takes ~30s for ~20 rows. It does not honor the displayed fields in the table and would export every field in the order it is in the Enterprise Geodatabase.

Weird thing is that the Near Me widget works fine with that export tool. It uses the domain descriptions and exports in less than a second. Still has issue of showing every field.

Details: My feature layer has 3 layers and I am exporting the 1st layer. All layers are branch versioned. On Enterprise Portal. Using Table widget.

Anyone run into this? I found this post, but the Esri rep said it was implemented in AGOL, and I am having the issue in Portal.

My apologies, I tested and logged the defect, but forgot to get back to you with the bug number. The public URL is not very descriptive, so I have added some of the details below. The status is In Review.

BUG-000185630

Exporting all data in a CSV file from the ArcGIS Experience Builder Table widget exports the date fields in US format.

Prerequisite: This bug is specific to this environment (it does not occur, for example, in 11.5 Microsoft SQL database)

In a test Azure VM deployment of ArcGIS Enterprise at version 11.5 with a PostgreSQL Geodatabase registered with the Server.

Summary: In an ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 environment using a non-hosted feature layer (Postgres/Azure), the CSV output from the Table widget behaves inconsistently depending on whether "Allow export data" is enabled on the layer.

If you log a support case and reference this bug, a support analyst may test in your environment, and if they believe you are experiencing this bug, attach it to your case so you will receive updates on the resolution.

Thank you for testing things out and finding that bug! I have that option enabled on my feature layers right now. I will have to keep it enabled since I won't know who will need to use it. I thought I was going crazy haha.

And to answer your question in your other reply: I am publishing from an Azure SQL (Not a SQL Server).

Hopefully this bug get's fixed soon for every database type it affects.

I'm testing for a case on a Postgres/Azure ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 environment where the Export all data option in the Table widget actions is generating a CSV with field names (not display) and US dates when allow Export Data is checked in the Feature layer (not hosted) settings.

When allow Export Data is unchecked, the CSV is generated with Display names and UK dates.

I will be logging this as a bug for this specific environment (I will add the bug number here when I do)

Note: Enterprise 11.5 Microsoft SQL Server produces the expected Display/UK in the CSV output.

Additional note: when the allow Export Data is checked, the CSV does not honour the Table widget field visibility/order configuration either. It shows all fields in the order of the source data including the shape fields.

I'll be testing the CSV outputs for domains, date formats, and field names/aliases in various environments, and I'll keep you updated.

I have seen a few cases where Enterprise Postgres/Azure databases are giving similar results, too.

I am not using a hosted feature layer.

My layer type is Referenced Feature layer. Point feature layer. Published the layer from ArcGIS Pro with the domains from ArcGIS Pro.

The field is a Long field where the numbers are the code and the description is text.

Select Layers. Screenshot included.

See my previous reply screenshots. One is export to csv all data in table and it gives me all the fields and no domain descriptions. One is export to csv selected data in table and it gives me only the fields in the table and also domain descriptions.

You would have to test on a referenced feature layer I believe. The export to csv all data function exports the data as how it sits in the enterprise geodatabase rather than the table for some reason.

I am not able to reproduce with a hosted feature layer in Enterprise 12. (I do not have publishing permissions for a referenced layer in 12)

What is your layer type? (Referenced Feature layer/Hosted feature layer/Map Image layer)
Did you publish your layer from ArcGIS Pro with the domains or add the domain in Portal?

Can you confirm the field is a text field?

In the Table widget config, are you using Select layers or Interact with a map widget? Please provide screenshots of your config.

I am also not able to reproduce the CSV honouring the displayed fields. Using Configure fields/Customise, if I choose not to display a field in the table, then the CSV honours this. Except for the ObjectID and XY fields, which are always exported.

I can test for you if you let me know your full workflow and config. If I can reproduce, you can then log a case and reference this thread to request that a bug be logged for Enterprise 12.

Hi @EMani ,

We are on Enterprise 12.0. After some other attempts I noticed some specific behavior. If I export to csv using selected features it honors everything in ExpB, but using all data still refers back to the geodatabase and gives me the code.

Can you please let me know your Enterprise version? This has been fixed at 11.4.

After the ArcGIS Online November 2024 release, exporting the entire field list as a CSV from the ArcGIS Experience Builder Table Widget displays Subtype Code Values instead of Labels in the CSV
