The City of Santa Clara currently has three (3) openings in its Senior Engineering Technician classification. The current openings are within Silicon Valley Power (the Electric Utility Department), the Water & Sewer Utilities Department, and the Department of Public Works.

Silicon Valley Power, Asset Management Group has an excellent opportunity for the position of Senior Engineering Technician. Job responsibilities include, preparing scaled and dimensioned plans based on sketches prepared by engineering and/or estimating personnel, maintaining records of as-builts and updating existing SVP maps and records utilizing ESRI-based GIS applications, maintaining master map files, including such records of block maps, street light maps, fiber communication, electric utility single line and operating diagrams and other maps, performing computing and drafting operations in AutoCAD, involvement in checking drawings of electric utility facilities, and performing other duties as assigned.
