Export Web Map not display layer

Question

I am having trouble displaying features from certain layers in 'Export Web Map'.

The tool would run successfully and the basemap would render correctly, but features from a map service layer would not render at all.

These features show just fine on a web map.

This is happening in both ArcMap and ArcGIS Server print service.

If I check the log entries on AGS I would see a bunch of errors like this:

[layer name]: Image compressor error. Cannot compress/decompress the image.

Sorry for the tardy reply. Ahh, if it doesn't print from ArcGIS Pro, then it will not print in any other environment. The print service is published from ArcGIS Pro. You might get better help in the Desktop space.

This is not a MapViewer printing issue. The 'Export Web Map' https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/tools/server-toolbox/export-web-map.htm  tool in ArcGIS Desktop also fails to render features in the output, even though the features can be viewed on a web map.

To reproduce the issue, you can try and create a pdf from the service below using 'Export Web Map':

The 'image compressor' errors appear in ArcGIS Manager logs.

Hi @MichaelWen_Timmons, thanks for posting your question here. Can you share a simple webmap that reproduce the issue? Also, there might be information in the network requests of the export operation.

Lastly, the MapViewer printing is based on the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, and there are some known printing limitations that you may be running into:
