I am trying to send a map from ArcGIS over to Field Maps with MMPK. I used the "Create Mobile Map Package" tool to compress my map to a single file, then I used the "Share Package" tool to send it to ArcGIS Online, which I have linked to Field Maps. The map appears with a thumbnail under "My maps", I tap download, it then shows under "On device", but when I try to open it, I get the following error messages: "Unable to open" above "Item type not supported in Geopackage". The .mmpk files I've created mostly range from 3.1-3.3 mb in size.
Things I have tried:
- Side-loading the .mmpk file directly onto my phone. This allows it to appear under "On device" like the online process, but with no thumbnail, and it returns the same error message when I try opening.
- Using the "Package Maps" tool instead of "Create Mobile Map Package", creating an MPKX instead of MPPK. Does not appear on Field Maps via the online route.
- Reinstalling Field Maps, signing out and back in
- Creating MMPK files with changes to the map, including:
- Just basemap
- Just a single point layer
- No layers
- Removing all high precision fields (date/time with *; mentioned as problematic in some discussions)
- Checking/unchecking "Enable Anonymous Use" and "Reference online content"; Adding/removing titles/summaries
- Limiting to a smaller extent (.mmpk file size is 2.6 mb)
I don't have any more detailed information about the error message, and I'm not sure how to attach a screenshot to this post. I've tried my best to exclusively follow ESRI documentation to get an offline map to appear on Field Maps, but it seems like I've hit a wall here and I don't know what else to try.
Thanks for any advice or insight anyone can provide!
Michael
