Data Interop - Task Scheduler - Change owners?

Hello,

We have a server with data interop and ArcGIS Pro installed and I have a work bench that I can successfully run as a scheduled task. However, it has been suggested to have the GIS coordinator run these tasks for a number of the GIS Analysts. Currently the work bench fails to run when I change the owner of the task in the Windows Task Scheduler.

I understand that likely this failure is due to saved credentials to ArcGIS Online and databases within the work bench and these are saved to my profile and not available when the task is run by another user?

If so is there a way to embed these credentials so others can run work benches that have been authored/scheduled by other users.

Hi Kathy!

Just learned this in Pro 3.4 recently. A more secure and easier way to secure shared connections that can be used for your shared workspace.

This is configured in FME Options --> Default Paths

When you implement in your workspace you can toggle Shared in the Visibility drop down for the web connection.

Hello Kathy

A simple workaround is to refactor your workspace to use the Esri ArcGIS Portal Feature Service reader/writer with dataset https://arcgis.com and the Generate Token authentication type, which will embed the credentials.

Database credentials can be similarly embedded in reader/writers.
