CSV Event layer not updating automatically

Question

I have a csv point layer in my project and am wondering why when I add a new point to the table, it does not update the layer to display the point in my map, even though the points are displayed in the attribute table. How can I fix this to where when I update my csv file, when I reopen the project, the layer will be updated as well?

Hi @NicolePavlock1

My understanding is that you are uploading your csv file at a fixed moment with the data already present. So when you publish the data and create a layer the data is displaying and is correct.

If you add more data to the csv it will need to be updated and replace the exisiting file and subsequent republish or overwrite the original layer.

If you have the data in a similar structure you should be able to add it to the table of the feature layer.
