Removing Duplicate Labels

Question

I am trying to add labels to a shapefile in ArcGIS Runtime Java 10.2.4. The shapefile is added to the blank.mpk and I am forming a REST URL to export the map image. I don't find any way using REST or the Runtime Java API to remove duplicate labels like in ArcMap.

Apparently, it seems that this feature is available in ArcGIS Runtime SDK for WPF?

The problem I have is that I cannot use the Direct Shapefile reads until it supports Custom Spatial References. So I have no other option but to use blank.mpk approach. I assume this will also be available as REST requests?

Do you have a Timeline for the Quartz Release

Shapefile labeling is not available in the Java API. Labeling will come in the Quartz release.
