Carrer oppurtunities for Freshers

Question

This is Kalyani , I have graduated recently from Arkansas State University with masters in agriculture degree. Iam looking for full time opportunities as a GIS Analyst , I have experience of working with ArcGIS pro , AGOL and QGIS For 2 years . Please guide me what else I can learn to get any internship or full time opportunities.Thank you !!

Hi Kalyani,

I would recommend checking into a state GIS organization too. While not all states have this, my state has a GIS professionals Association. They offer courses, conferences and other networking events throughout the year. If you live in a smaller state, it could be worth looking into neighboring states as well, even if you just leverage their online resources and course offerings!

Hi @KalyaniMallepally - have you explored the Esri Careers website for open full time positions yet? This link will take you to all open positions and you can search by location, role type, experience level, categories, and more.

Recently, @CatherineDuBreck published this blog post that contains a plethora of resources and job boards for searching for GIS positions and internships.

I recommend to also start networking in person and online. You can join Esri Young Professionals Network (YPN), join a local YPN chapter to attend in person networking meetups, become a YPN Ambassador, attend conferences, or local GIS community groups.
