Is it possible to rotate a PictureMarkerSymbol for Android SDK?

It appears the class does not provide a method for rotating this type of symbol. Is there a workaround for this?

Since picture marker symbol inherits from marker symbol, I would believe that the

setAngle(float angle)

method from the markerSymbol would work.
