Number of points for geodesic viewshed

Question

Is there any limit to the number of points we give to geodesic viewshed if we use the frequency type?

Will it get 100? maybe 1000?

If you give it a line, is it splitting it to points and by what distance?

We try to get viewshed alone line but we need to understand the resolution of the analysis

Hi Dan

This limit is because when you use the Observers option and the pixel have 32 bit only then you cannot save more then 32 point result.

Because of this we tried the Frequency option. It did not gave any error message it just ignored some points.

This is what it says:

It also optionally produces an observer-region relationship table for up to 32 observers (points, multipoints, or polylines) that can be related back to the input observer feature class.

Are you finding a difference? or are you getting an error? or did you try?
