With the Field Maps Designer web app, you can streamline your field workflows by creating the maps and forms mobile workers use in the Field Maps mobile app. If you're using Field Maps Designer on ArcGIS Enterprise, the available features depend on the version of Enterprise that you're using.

You can treat this document as that - as everything that's listed in it is available in ArcGIS Online today. We also have our Archived What's New so you can see what versions had what features available. If there are other reasons for such a document would be good to know.

When I open Field Maps in Portal (11.0) i do not have the New Map button (see image below). Do i need to register the Field Maps Designer webapp with my portal? What am I missing?

Thank you for your comment! That's expected. The "New map" button, and the ability to create new maps and layers in Field Maps Designer, is available in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 and later and is not available in 11.0.

Hey Gary - Field Maps Designer is tied to the release of ArcGIS Enterprise, so unfortunately there is no way to update Field Maps Designer in your instance of 11.0. To get the "New map" button, and other updates, you would have to update your entire instance of ArcGIS Enterprise to a later version (11.1).
At least I think this is what you're getting at! Please let me know if otherwise.
