Lead Service Line Inventory Solution - Lead Service Line Editor web app - Batch Editor widget not recognizing new fields

We added five new fields to the Service Line hosted feature layer item (see attachment) and want to modify the Lead Service Line Editor web app to allow batch editing of these new fields. The Batch Editor widget doesn't recognize the new fields.  All fields are editable.  Has anyone tried adding a new field to the Batch Editor widget? I'm using Web App Builder.

Hi Chris,

That is a known bug and has a targeted fix for the June ArcGIS Online release. In the meantime there are a couple of workarounds:

Method 1

1. Add a new field to the Data section of the feature layer. 
2. Open the web map in Map Viewer, remove and re-add the layer. 
3. Configure pop-ups and save the map. 
4. Refresh the web app.
5. Delete and re-add the Batch Attribute Editor widget.
6. The newly added field will be present under Define Field(s) to Update.
7. When there is a need to add another data field after applying Batch edits, the whole process needs to be repeated.

 

Method 2

1. In Map Viewer Classic, open the attribute table for the layer, and click the icon with three bars in the upper right corner. 
2. Select 'Add Field', and fill out the new data field. 
3. Configure pop-ups and save the map. 
4. Refresh the web app, and the new data field will appear in the Batch Attribute Editor widget.
