In the blog there's a screenshot of the filter capabilities in Hub - aside from liking the ability for a user to define their own filtered area of interest, the biggest thing for me here is seeing symbolised points that are not the default blue within Open Data hubs. How is this possible? Are we seeing a future update already in testing, or is this just a fake image?
@JonathanMcD I presume they have used the Styling tab within the Filter?I agree though, it would be good to be able to set default behaviour to follow the layer's symbology rather than the blue points.
Hi @JonathanMcD yes, the data in the image were symbolized using the Styling tab while Filtering. I will pass along your comment about being able to set default behavior for layer symbology rather than the blue points. Thanks for your feedback!
Thank you, and you're welcome. I would be great to set some consistencies.I'm trying to develop our organisational data and open data experiences to be almost seamless. Open data for those org users that maybe just looking for information as our public would, without the need for an account - however - for those common datasets they see the exact same information and controlled detail as our users. Hope this makes sense.
Would be great, and I realise this is core agol items, to be able to control field display types eg., a year displayed as an integer without the "," (2,014) it makes our open data just look odd, or not responsive as we'd wish.
