CM_setup_v4 Error

Question

I am trying to update some data sources for our community maps submission so I downloaded the latest prep tool package and when I try to run the setup I get the following error:

CM_setup_v4 failed.

'NoneType' object has no attribute 'listLayers'

I am running Pro 2.9.5

Bring the feature class into the maps, you can't run it from the catalog window.

Thanks for the comments/questions!

We often see similar errors occurring with the Data Prep tools when the tools are not run from within the Pro Project that is contained in the Download.  This means that you must open the .aprx file in the Data Prep Tool download and load your data into the maps and run Setup and all subsequent DataPrep Tools from that Pro Project.  The tools and folder structures are intertwined and must remain intact.  If this is not the issue, please reach out to our alias at communitymaps@esri.com and a specialist on the tools will get back to you and assist one-on-one!
