It would be desirable if the scale of the map could be in kilometers only.

Did the poster mean to say that it would be desirable if the scale of the map could be in other units besides kilometers? Because currently it IS only in kilometers. I vote to allow for the Imperial system (feet/miles/etc). Or just follow the units of the basemap.
