Expression (or Advanced) Filter to show top x results

I am using a Treemap and I would like to display the top 5 results for each selection made from another card. I have cross-filters enabled. I assume I have to use an expression filter (or advanced filter), but I can't seem to figure it out besides using a count (like <=5000) which may not be applicable to all selections. Anyone have a solution? Thanks!

@Elizabeth_Burniston At the moment certain if you created visualization from one string and the numeric field can show top or bottom categories when you click on the card filter. (Note this doesn't apply to all the visualizations due to technical limitations)
