We have several applications that use the Filter or Query widget with a date selector.
We would like to propose a new 'Single Date Picker' input style which only shows one calendar month at a time and sits directly below the date field that the date picker is entering against. We believe this input style will be more intuitive for users entering two dates when using operators such as 'between'. It would also be useful if the date can be manually typed into each date field, so that users looking to find a date from a long time ago can bypass the additional clicking required seeing as only one calendar month will be available at a time.
At the moment the Double Date Picker includes two months, one month below the first date field, and one month below the second date field. Because the date is not automatically entered into the query/filter when making a selection, we are finding that our users, go one to find their second date before selecting 'Done' which only enters the last date into the first date field.
