Virtual reality? Field trips!

As the school year begins to wane for many, teachers and schools often look to field trips. These rewards can engage kids in “some” learning during those last weeks. Unfortunately, many schools don’t have the budget or bandwidth to deliver on these exciting opportunities. Safety, cost, logistics and a host of other reasons can also make these adventures impossible to do. This is where StoryMap Expeditions can help.

A virtual landscape StoryMap Expeditions use virtual reality to help bring a place to life. This collection of ten storymaps can be viewed on a device or computer but even more powerful, used with a virtual reality headset like a Meta Quest. Each storymap contains a variety of media types – such as 360 degree video, 3D models, audio, and of course interactive maps.
