In the Align Parcels tool, there is an option to set a tolerance for the Generate Alignment Links buffer. Our organization typically creates alignment links manually, as we find that works better for our data. Since we don't generate links automatically, we don't care to see the alignment links buffer since it creates noise and our data is complex as it is. We would like to see a checkbox in the Align Parcels tool that allows people to choose whether or not to visualize the alignment links buffer.

Creating links manually is very time-consuming and prone to user error. In complicated scenarios, it is usually enough to add a few links to help the process create the rest of the links automatically. Once you start working with the parcel fabric you will likely know when and how to use the tool.

If you don't want to see the buffer you can set it as (zero) '0'.

@AmirBar-Maor - we've thought of that, but when we set the tolerance to 0, the software spins after we click Align - it will spin until we cancel the process. We've logged this with support: Esri Case #03592071. This doesn't seem to be specific to projecting on the fly. You are correct that either addressing that support case so we can set the buffer to 0 or making the buffer optional would resolve our request to minimize noise.

@MizukiKayano2 has been working with the parcel fabric in detail for quite some time now, so I don't think this request is tied to experience, just preference. Also, in some scenarios, they would have no choice but to create all links manually (i.e., when integrating posting plans) until a later version of the software is available. The team at LTSA is very detail oriented, so I think they are less prone to user error than you might think. That being said, we are continually exploring different alignment scenarios where creating links automatically is efficient and dependable...and we know you and your team are continually making improvements to this tool as well.
