Best practises to publish imagery together with their acquisition info

My aim is to publish in to ArcGIS Enterprise environment imagery (ortho images) datasets that comes from aerial coverages flown on a yearly basis. Each imagery dataset has its own polygon coverage that stores the acquisition info (shot date, gsd, etc…). Due to the availibality of the year of the shot date, the idea is to create an ArcGIS service that allow the user to query the image (I mean to get the acquisition info) as well as to browse the ArcGIS service using a timeline,

Each imagery dataset is organized by year in mosaic dataset as well as in tile cache package (compact cache v.2).

My understanding is that:

- the mosaic dataset allows to join the acquisition date info to each image

- the tile cache package has the advantage over the mosaic dataset in terms of  performance and size in the datastore. But it’s not clear how to join the acquisition date polygon coverage to the tile cache  …

Maybe there are best practises to deploy as ArcGIS services this kind of datasets. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Giuseppe
