I'm interested in getting the best performance possible out of an aerial imagery basemap. The imagery will rarely change so on-the-fly rendering is not necessary. The data will be hosted and consumed over a local network.
Which type of layer should I use to get the best performance? Direct Access to Raster, Tile Package, cached MapServer, ImageServer, <some other type>
For whichever type is the best, I would also like to know any settings that should be applied when setting up the data source to maximize performance and any setting that can be used in the SDK to improve performance.
