How to upload/register and unregister SOE/SOI with the Python API for ArcGIS?

Hi

Does anybody know if it's somehow possible to register *.soe files on an arcgis server with the python API for ArcGIS?

arcgis.gis.server module — arcgis 1.8.0 documentation 

With the REST API of the server it is possible but not with the new "Python API for ArcGIS".

Any hints, ideas?

I do not think that this is currently possible using the Python API for ArcGIS (1.8.1).
