Since the September 16 update, several surveys no longer work in the webform, even after rebuilding and republishing the survey using the latest version of Survey 123 Connect.

We get this error -

This survey cannot be accessed in the web app. Please contact the survey owner to republish the survey with 'Create web form' enabled. Error: Missing .webform file.

Press here to try to open this survey in Survey123 field app (installation required).

Interestingly, when I look at the webform that gets created successfully during the publishing process, the content of the .webform file is as follows:

{
"error": {
"code": -1,
"details": [],
"message": "Error: [object Object]"
},
"success": false
}

This issue appeared immediately after the September 16th update, prior to any efforts to republish or change the form.

Thanks!

Hi @WetherbeeDorshow ,

This is most likely caused by an error that was addressed last night with an update to the website, relating to the presence of an audio question in the form. Please republish the survey and see if the issue is addressed.

Yes, we are using external choices.

Hi all,

Based on this blog: What's new in ArcGIS Survey123 (December 2021) - Esri Community

BUG-000144749 Survey with external selects published from ArcGIS Survey123 Connect cannot be accessed in the web app, and returns the following error message, "This survey cannot be accessed in the web app. Please contact the survey owner to republish the survey with 'Create web form' enabled. Error: Missing .webform file."

The defect above has been fixed in the December 2021 release of Survey123 website. Please do see if the issues has been resolved in your survey forms.

Kudos to @IsmaelChivite for the updated release of Survey123!

Best regards,
Kanin

I was having this issue today. Was there a new updated to Survey 123 connect creating this issue again?

Im trying to edit an existing survey submission on a web app.

using parameter below, in a configuration pop-up.

https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/2c970fa4acfb4e23a9b3dee7f86f8a68?mode=edit&globalId=5c141ba4-5a65...

from the screenshot you can see it is passing the Global Id, however it is saying the webform has an issue?

Im currently on Survey 123 3.16.

Hi @JamesTedrick

Today we have a similar error when republishing an existing survey that was published months ago! The survey doesn't use an audio question. The survey used existing "feature service".

It was designed with Survey123 Connect V.  3.13.234.

When we try to access from web access, the error show is this:

This survey cannot be accessed in the web app. Please contact the survey owner to republish the survey with 'Create web form' enabled. Error: Missing .webform file.

Press here to try to open this survey in Survey123 field app (installation required).

When the survey is published again, we enable to create webform option:

HaroldHerrera1_1-1637611047786.png

Webform file content is:

HaroldHerrera1_2-1637611125209.png

It's very important for our project, correct the error as soon as possible.

Do you know how to fix the error?

We are also experiencing this issue.

Our survey was working fine and we republished it yesterday (22nd November 2021) with a minor field change and are now experiencing this error.

I republished a test survey today (23rd Nov 2021) with no changes made, and are now receiving the same error for that test survey.

Please advise, thank you.

Edit: I updated to the latest S123 Connect Desktop app (v3.13.249) - still experiencing the issue

Our workaround was to republish the survey with a previous Survey123 Connect version (3.11) until the bug is fixed, and works fine.

Hello, how can I download 3.11 version?

Republishing with 3.10 has not fixed the issue with the webform.

Hi,

There has been reports of similar issues and we are trying to narrow down the issue to identify the root cause. Can you please confirm if you are using external choices in your survey?

Thanks,

MJ
