Hi

We have created a survey using Survey123 Connect.  For context, the only reason we have used Connect is that we have to host our own data, so the Feature Layer is not hosted in ArcGIS Online.  We have published the Feature Layer from ArcGIS Server 10.8.1 with stored credentials.

Everything works well but we need to secure the Feature Layer so the data is not exposed.  The only way the survey will work is if we make the Feature Layer for public use in ArcGIS Online. We’ve seen a few ways of doing this when the Feature Layer is hosted but we cannot find a way of managing this using our own Feature Layer.

So my question is, does anyone know how to do this?

Thank you in advance

Julie

Hi. Check this help topic: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/publish-services/windows/editor-permissions-for-featu...  It describes how you can control permissions on feature services. To avoid your data from being exposed, you want to share your feature service publicly AND disable query and delete/update capabilities. You basically want to create a feature service with only one capability: Create.
