Currently, there isn't a way to add Instant Apps to StoryMaps without embedding them - it would be super helpful to have them as an option to add through the Map menu in StoryMaps.

  • Click on the green dot in a StoryMap > see the list of menu options
  • Click Map > Instant Apps are an option (along with Web Maps as it is currently)
  • A user can click an Instant App and it's added to the StoryMap like a map

Thank you!

We do have it on our list to provide a way to more easily add ArcGIS apps, such as Instant Apps, to a story. Essentially, we would look to provide a similar experience to the way you add ArcGIS content to a collection or as an attachment in briefings.

@OwenGeo that's good to know! That would also be super helpful.

We have a lot of beginner users that work on StoryMap projects, and being able to add Instant Apps through the Map option in StoryMaps without having to go through extra steps of embedding each time would be incredibly useful. It would also enable us to utilize Instant Apps more effectively.

It would also be awesome to be able to use Dashboards that way as well, but in our use case, Instant Apps are the most common usage-wise.

Thank you again!
