How to preserve vector data color and extract it to image file?

I want to keep this color and extract the land cover map in the form of the image in the photo above. However, the moment I change from vector data to raster data, it keeps changing to a black and white image. I don't know why. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if there is a way.
