Can you make something to show when a copy is done. It's very frustrating to copy an paste to see that it's does not work but instead paste the previous copy.
Deleting my comment because I'm bad at the internet.
What exactly are you copying and pasting? Features in a map? GDBs in the catalog pane? Something else?
Just a group of layer from the contents in one aprx to an other aprx like I always do.
The problem is that Pro doesn't indicate that is in the process of copying and, when pasting, It's take the older copy, not the one just made,
So the result is for me to remove the paste an try again.
Interesting; I'm not sure I've ever encountered that behavior, personally. When moving layers between APRXs, I usually drag & drop, which might be why.
Assuming the UI catches up fast enough to be able to drag & drop, that might work better. The only time it doesn't is when it's gotten stuck trying to figure out what I'm trying to do so it can change the dynamic ribbons and such (which you can generally catch because right-clicking will have the whole context menu greyed out. Can't drag & drop until it's not greyed out).
Might also be worth going through the right-click context menu to copy, for similar reasons. I suspect you're moving faster than Pro's constant recalculating of the UI can keep up with.
That's the problem. I understand that, since Pro is very slow on doing things, I'm faster than Pro. I always wait to see no indications of Pro is in working mode before pasting. That's where I suggested a way to show that the copy is not completed or the paste is done in a project not working in the background without any sing.
@MarcelSt-Germain
Waiting for Pro is like waiting for a cheap wine to get better while drinking it.....
For its & giggles can you have a look at what is happening in the Diagnostic Monitor (Ctrl-Alt-m) while you are working and seeing Pro lag behind?
Some people (myself included) have had it do excessive license checks all the time which cause from a few ms to several second delays in the UI after every operation you do.
Open the http tab. If it happens you'll see a bunch of calls to your AGOL org number for SubscriptionInfo.
It has been much better for me for the last week or so - coincidently since the AGOL issues they had a little while ago? Maybe they turned it off & on again and the license issue was fixed too... LOL.
