I seem to be unable to edit the attributes of Feature Layers that I am the owner of, in a map that I am the owner of. I can create a new feature but I cannot enter attributes for the new feature. I also cannot edit attributes of existing features. This functionality is critical for my purposes.
Not sure if it's relevant but these feature services were created by adding zipped shapefiles to a web map. Map and Feature Services are shared with everyone (though I have also tried with no sharing). I am using the Creator license level.
Likely related, see also this post: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-questions/disable-editing-creator-license/m-p/1201624#M4...
Solved! Go to Solution.
This is the process I use that works:
Add Field in ArcGIS Online
Go to Content
Click on the feature layer
Click on Data along top toolbar
Click on three bars on the far right and select Add Field
To Add Data to a Field/Column
Open the feature layer in Map Viewer
Select Show Table from feature layer in TOC
Scroll to the column to be edited
Double click in the cell to be edited and type in desired value or delete cell contents
This automatically updates the layer in all maps

Thank you Robert. Editing via the table works. I thought I would be able to edit via the popup or the editing tool, but apparently not. This will do for now I suppose.
