If you attended the recent Esri User Conference, whether in person or virtually, we hope you enjoyed your experience. In case you missed the “ArcGIS Maritime: What’s New” demo theater session, here is a recap. Our agenda included three key topics:

  • An overview of the next-generation bathymetry tools
  • What’s new in ArcGIS Maritime since the 2021 user conference
  • New opportunities and applications of ArcGIS Maritime

@MeredithPayne1, product owner for ArcGIS Bathymetry, introduced new features planned for the ArcGIS Pro 3.1 release,  including geoprocessing tools for Bathymetric Information System (BIS) administration and data management. A demo of the web app for data exploration and extraction was also shared, along with a quick look at the road map for this completely redesigned ArcGIS Bathymetry product.

@TomDePuyt, product owner for ArcGIS Maritime server extension, presented a list of new features released between the last quarter of 2021 and July of this year. Some key features include the ability to generate Inland ENC (IENC) and bathymetric IENC products, support for DNC and TOD, updates to the Custom Chart Builder application, and new features in the roadmap.

The Esri Maritime team has been making tremendous progress in the effort to extend our maritime products beyond charting. The session concluded with a discussion around how numerous organizations are integrating web services published by ArcGIS Maritime server extension into web and mobile applications to support a wide range of activities, including whale alerts, wind energy development, search and rescue operations, and marine conservation.

Will you be releasing a video of the corresponding presentation on Bathymetry and Maritime?
