One of our key 3D use cases is to visualise and understand future state such as a new building development or a new park. Planners rely on an accurate and realistic view from eye height (~1.7m).
Can the ArcGIS Javascript API please implement a 'walk mode' functionality?
This would enable users to toggle between 'walk mode' and the existing 'flying mode'.
'Walk mode' would ensure that users would be pinned to the ground at an elevation of 1.7 metres above ground to ensure a pedestrian level viewpoint.
Navigation would need to be simple and to be the same or very similar to existing functionality that users are familiar with - Google Streetview.
An example of similar functionality is found below in the Cesium platform, using the 'pedestrian mode'
