Good day all,

I am trying to plot the mean temperature (TMean) distribution by city using a tree plot. But the problem is that the plot defaults to SUM of values whereas I am more interested into AVG, but the card does not let me change it to AVG TMean.

How can I fix this?

Hi,

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding the question, but I don’t believe a Tree Map is ever an appropriate representative method for averages. Therefore, I don’t think “Average” is possible – by design.

Tree maps visualize the proportion each data point represents within a total sum. Averages don’t represent a total sum. A box plot may be a better representation depending on your needs.

However, I may have misinterpreted the question. I hope this helps.

Thanks for using ArcGIS Insights!

It's the same problem with the bubble plot too.
