We have an ArcGIS Hub initiative site acting as an Open Data Portal for our organisation. We are planning to add a new dataset to this initiative that is a hosted feature layer view. The view in question has aliases applied to the field names but we are not seeing these aliases in the dataset on the initiative site – instead we are seeing the field names as they appear in AGOL for the hosted feature service from which the view is coming.
We tested this by changing the aliases for the hosted feature service (not view) and we saw these changes reflected on the initiative site. This is not the expected behaviour as the view is the source data for the site, not the original hosted feature service.
Is there a way to ensure the field information is coming from the view and not from the original data?
