I'm using a geocoded document library with ArcGIS for SharePoint. I have the document library layer added to the map, everything is fine there. I have the document library added to the same SharePoint page as the map. However, I cannot connect the map to the document library. Clicking on the "Web part source" button doesn't do anything (it highlights it, but no dropdown or ability to select anything).
I've tried creating a new page, new map, disabling and reenabling the "connect web parts" feature, signing out, signing in, etc. Basically everything except recreating the document library. This feature used to work for me several months ago. Any ideas?
Hello, thanks for posting your question on Esri Community.
Could you please share a screenshot or video of the document library in question? I would like to look at the columns and formatting. I haven't noticed any issues on my end but would like to gather more information before I can offer some suggestions. Also, you mentioned that it used to work in the past, did it work with the same document library or is this a different document library? If its different, could you please compare the two and let me know what's different?
Thanks and Regards,
Raaj
Thanks for the reply, @RaajRaaj
It's the same document library that worked previously. Our IT department updated ArcGIS for Sharepoint to the most recent version today, but that didn't help. I tried creating a new SharePoint page and map after the update too.
I attached a couple of screenshots below. Let me know if you need any other details.
Thanks for sharing the screenshots. I tried to reproduce the issue on my end with a document library set up similar to the one you had shared but it seems to work on my end. Would you be interested in a meeting? That way I can gather more information and see why it's not letting you set up the dynamic data connection.
Thanks & Regards,
Raaj
@RaajRaaj a meeting sounds great. I'll send you a DM with availability.
I'm also having the same issue and would like to know if there's a solution. Thanks!
@cnw_ivesleung I have been told that an update to ArcGIS for SharePoint released last week should fix the issue. I'm waiting for our IT department to apply the update for our SharePoint tenant. I hope it works!
My apologies for the delayed response. I was out on vacation this past week.
@jmaxwell_braun is correct, we have addressed this issue in the latest release (2024.3.2.1888) of ArcGIS for SharePoint app. Once you update the app in your SharePoint tenant to the latest version, you should be able to connect the "ArcGIS" web part with the SharePoint list or document library web parts. Please let me know if you are still encountering any issues after the update.
Thank you, @jmaxwell_braun!!!
Thanks & Regards,
