ArcGIS Field Maps pop-ups and photos stored in secure SharePoint location not functional

I configured an ArcGIS Survey123 and ArcGIS Field Map integration where users collect observations with photos using Survey123. Photos get posted to SharePoint and a weekly process updates attributes in the observations table with the photo SharePoint urls. The attachment files are periodically cleared out and SharePoint is the primary means of photo storage since thousands of photos can be submitted per month. The solution works very well from the initial data collection standpoint & all desktop browser apps associated with the solution also work well to display photos from the SharePoint location.

What breaks down is the ArcGIS Field Map part of the solution, where field staff follow up on past observations. The pop-up is configured to display those images from the SharePoint urls so that users can see the past state to inform how they assess the follow-up progress without bogging down the service with tons of attachments. We quickly realized that they are unable to see these images from the SharePoint location in ArcGIS Field Maps. They get prompted to sign in, and inputting credentials just leaves them in an endless sign in prompt loop- presumably because Field Maps is somehow blocking the typical next step in SharePoint sign on- MFA.

Is there a way to use ArcGIS for SharePoint or some other means to expose this SharePoint list containing their photo files to the ArcGIS Field Maps map? There are just far too many files to make reattaching them reasonable long-term. Thanks for any and all ideas!
