Hello, I am curious if anyone has delt with a similar issue. I already have opened a case about this but have yet to receive a solution.
Earlier this week, I removed a machine from our hosting server site. This process took a very long time in the server manager, and after 2 hours I refreshed the page, and the old site no longer appeared in our machines list on manager or in the server administrator pages. This removal took our hosting server site from having 3 machines participating, down to 2 machines. Since then, we have been seeing 404 errors and jobs fail with the following message:
What would be causing our enterprise deployment to route jobs to this disconnected machine? Reconfiguring our web adaptor only listed the 2 remaining machines, and I have been unable to find any list of participating machines in portal.
@DennisSmith might be able to help 🙂
Hello @mattkramer I can see that you have opened a support case on this and I noticed that you had also adjusted the federation settings for the admin url to utilize the web adaptor url rather than the machine url. Since this was updated I see that we are still seeing the same behavior. Have you tried to clear your browser cache? This will take some more digging to determine whats going on here and the support analyst you have this case with will be able to assist with this.
Hey @DennisSmith thank you for reaching out! I have cleared my cache, but most of these jobs that are failing are originating from either ArcGIS Pro, or ArcGIS Field Maps. The most popular services for our users are System/PublishingTools and System/SyncTools in support of Field Work. I can coordinate with staff to delete and reinstall these applications though if that would be helpful.
Thank you for the response, just wanted to ask everywhere I can!
Thanks for the response @mattkramer before dong that lets wait and have the Support analyst you are working with assist with the troubleshooting.
@mattkramer, do you have a third party Load Balancer routing traffic to your ArcGIS Server machine(s) or ArcGIS Web Adaptor(s)? If so, I would check to see if it's still routing traffic to the machine that was removed from the site.
