Attempting to make Distributed Collaboration in ArcGIS Enterprise, Other organization (Small Nation Government) has Enterprise hosted by ESRI

I am trying to invite an organization to a distributed collaboration. The other organization is a small nations government. Their ArcGIS Enterprise Portal is currently being hosted by ESRI, and has maps.arcgis.com/ in the URL. When I try to invite them, the distributed collaboration thinks that it is a ArcGIS Online URL and rejects it. Any ideas on how to bypass this?

Hey @Alec

Were you using this here: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/set-up-an-arcgis-enterprise-to-arc...

If so, could you send a screenshot of the error you're getting?

Hi @CodyPatterson , thank you for the quick reply.

Yes, I have followed that workflow, and am working with the admin of the other organization.  Below is the error I'm getting. Previously, I had successfully set up a collaboration with this organization; however, the current challenge arises because their ArcGIS Enterprise is now being hosted by ESRI.

The organization I am working with is the government of a small nation and I could get more information surrounding the arrangement if needed.

Hey @Alec

The URL is definitely reminiscent of an AGOL URL, being hosted by ESRI is something I'm not entirely familiar with, but I'm curious if they are able to host the distributed collaboration and if they are getting the same error.

Hi @CodyC

Yes, not something I'm familiar with either.
I will try having the them set up the Collaboration, that seems like a great idea.

I was going to say, sounds like you have to treat this like a Portal - Online collaboration and not as a Portal to Portal collaboration
