Re: CityEngine screen goes blank and never comes back

Hi everyone,

I've started to use CityEngine, but when I open the software my whole scene is black. Even I tried the upper solution to change the workspace location, but it didn'tScreenshot 2024-05-11 160909.jpg work. My whole operating system is powerful, and I use other Esri apps such as ArcGIS Pro and Earth. I also updated all the necessary .NET frameworks on my machine. but I am not sure what might be the problem.Screenshot 2024-05-11 160726.jpg

Hi @SAMANFARHADI,

This looks like a graphic card related issue.

  • Do you have a dedicated GPU in your setup or only the integrated one?
  • Are all your drivers up to date?
  • Can you share your log?
    • Windows -> Log -> Export Log (most left icon)

Dear Jonas, 

Yes, the final thing that I looked into was my Nvidia Control Panel, and it seemed that the software was assigned to my integrated GPU. I changed that to my dedicated Nvidia one, and the problem smoothly solved. Great thanks
