We are using the Customer Derived Trade Areas to create polygons for our locations.  To speed things up we are using tract point data and would like to be able to get not only the polygons but also the selected tracts that make up those polygons.  What is the easiest way to do this?  Sample code or details would be greatly appreciated.

Also we are using ArcPro to do this.

Hi Michael - thanks for the post.  I want to make sure I understand what you are trying to do here.  Are you looking to extract underlying geographies (i.e. Tracts, Block Groups, etc.) that are completely within/intersect/have center within a Customer Derived Area boundary?

If so have you tried the Generate Geographies From Overlay tool?

Here's an example output.  I want to see which block group boundaries (blue/purple) have their center within my Customer Derived Area (red).  The white points are block group centroids.
