I had a call with ESRI support and we were able to pinpoint the issue as follows: Data with related tables must be added to the map using the classic map viewer. Once the data has been added to the map, the map can be opened and edited in the new map viewer but it must be added using Classic. I had to copy over the JSON using assistant, but at least all of my form configuration wasn't lost. Also wish that ESRI wouldn't recommend using the new map viewer when this is a known bug on their end since the only way to remedy the situation is to recreate the map using classic.

Another question for you - I love the Inbox and the ability to edit sent forms. But it appears that it is not possible to update attachments when editing a form and attachments that are added to forms from the inbox are not uploading. Will support for this capability be enabled soon? Thanks so much!

Hi Ismael, We are using ArcGIS Online to map our storm and sewer networks. Field verification and initial mapping are completed using Collector. We also perform regular inspections on some features (such as manhole inspections) and use Survey123 to perform these repeated inspections. I used a custom attribute display in ArcGIS online to create the hyperlinks to launch Survey123 and set it to prepopulate some fields from the existing data (material, diameter, etc...). I would like to automatically set the location of the geopoint collected in Survey123 to match the coordinates of our existing point features or the coordinates of the centroids for existing line features but we periodically update these locations or add new features as we complete our field inspections. If there is a way to accomplish this, that would be great. Thanks so much.

Is there a way to access the geometry (specifically, the coordinates) of an object to pass to the Survey123 custom URL scheme? I know it is possible to add fields for the X and Y coordinates, but these require maintenance since we update the locations of our features during field inspections. Thanks very much, these new features have been super helpful and exciting to implement.

Can you explain how to open and edit the config file? I am experiencing the same issue with the URL changing when I save the map but I am not sure to edit the config. Thank you for any guidance you can provide!

I am also experiencing strange behavior when trying to use Survey123 from an iPad Air2 (iOS versions 9.2.1 and later 9.3.2). Cascading selects from external choice lists and relevancies are not working properly. The same survey is working perfectly on a regular iPad, an Android device, and desktop versions of Survey123.

Hi Hannah, Thanks very much again for your reply. It seems that this is very close to a solution - I was able to add this code to the info file and retain the changes. However, the tile package does not appear in the list of maps for the survey. If I link to the tile layer instead of the tile package, the map does appear in the list of map options but nothing is displayed in the actual map (it is just a grey box). I have set the home location and zoom levels to appropriate values, but am still not able to view my data. Thank you, Brittney

Hi Hannah, Thanks very much for the quick response. I ran the code through JSONLint and no errors were found. I also tried using the sample code below with the same results: { "displayInfo": { "map": { "mapTypes": { "append": false, "includeLibrary": false, "mapSources": [ { "url": "http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=9a7e015149854c35b5eb94494f4aeb89 ", "storeInMapLibrary": false }, { "url": "http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=4497b7bb42e543b691027840d1b9092a" } ] } } } } (from the post Prepare basemaps for offline use )

I am also experiencing a similar problem when trying to edit the info file. I add the lines to the file, but once I publish the survey, the info file is overwritten. I have been able to successfully load the tile packages directly to the device, but it would be helpful to be able to use the shared data available online.

How are you changing the symbology of the highlighted symbol on click? It should be possible to do something similar for the dropdown menu as well. Can you set the symbol of gmarker[index] to your highlight symbol in the function reveal site?

I also have the infowindow display on hover in my code, but ended up allowing users to click the point to lock the infowindow and to keep it from closing when they try to click a link in the infowindow. Not sure how intuitive this solution is; it sounds like the timer option might work more smoothly.

I am working on a script that makes geodatabases out of SAS data tables and writes the time of modification to a text file. The script executes fine if I run from a python shell, but crashes if I run it from a toolbox in ArcMap. The script runs to completion before crashing and only crashes some of the time that it is run (although I haven't been able to determine a pattern for when crashes do occur). I tried to look at the error report, but I am having some trouble interpreting what it says. Does anyone have any insight as to what the problem could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated and I am happy to provide more code or more of the error log if it would be helpful. ETA: It appears that the problem was related to my use of the Make Query Table tool. I had to set the in_key_field_option to Add Key Fields in order to prevent crashing from occurring.

This probably isn't the most elegant solution, but it worked okay for me. I wanted to show the infoWindow when a user performed a query by clicking a point on the map. The easiest way I found was to define a global variable (I used centerPoint) and set this equal to the evt geometry. Then I tapped into the infoWindow show event and used it to call for the map to recenter. This way worked the best for me because it reduced conflicts between the infoWindow show event and the map recentering which caused the infoWindow to display in the wrong location. This was included in my function that executed on map click: centerPoint = new esri.geometry.Point(evt.mapPoint.x,evt.mapPoint.y,evt.mapPoint.spatialReference); And this was included in my function that ran on initialization: dojo.connect(map.infoWindow, "onShow", function() { if (clickX == 1) { map.centerAt(centerPoint); clickX = 0; } }); I used clickX as a switch because I only wanted recentering to occur when a user clicked on a point (I also had the infoWindow show when users hover over a point), but you can probably take this part out if you want the map to recenter every time the infoWindow opens. dojo.connect(map.infoWindow, "onShow", function() { map.centerAt(centerPoint); }); Hope this is helpful!

If I understand your question, I think you want to use dojo.addOnLoad to call your function to show the splash screen. For my script, I created a function init that contained any javascript that I wanted to run as the application loaded. Then I called this init function using the command dojo.addOnLoad(init). In your case, the javascript would look something like this: function init() { dialogWelcome.show(); } dojo.addOnLoad(init); http://jsfiddle.net/rXNzN/4/ You could add more to the init function if you want to as well. Hope this is what you were looking for!

I have something similar in one of my codes. Basically, as I loop through my query results, I generate p elements and then append these to a div in my side panel. Would you be able to append the tc.domNode generated by your function getWindowContent to a div rather than setting it as the content for the infoTemplate? I haven't used tabbed infoWindows before so I'm not sure if the same would work for you, but it worked pretty nicely for me.
