Hi Erwin, Thank you so much--this was so helpful and exactly what I was looking for! I do have an additional question. As you mentioned above, I need to modify the gridListModel in order to make the filter work. I think I need to use the FeatureQueryResult Class, since I would like the map to display any features where the beaches column = YES when the filter is selected. Does this sound right? Would it be possible to point me to any examples? Thanks, Erinn

Hi Erwin! I'm looking to I'm actually not too picky about where this appears in the app--whatever the easiest option is. I was considering was adding the two filter options to the hamburger button on the top left. In this case, the two filters would appear under the About the App selection. I also thought about adding a button along the top bar that would open a drop down menu with the two filter options, but I think this might be beyond my skill level. Again, I don't feel strongly about where this appears, I'm mostly looking for the easiest and most logical place to add this functionality. For reference, there are two columns in the the attribute table of my data that I would like to be able to filter on. Both are populated with only YES or NO. I'm hoping to create one option for beaches, where the map only displays sites where there's a YES in the beaches column. The other filter will be boat ramps, with the same logic applied. We also considered using the gallery in order to accomplish showing all three variations (all sites, beaches, and boat ramps), but we don't think that will be as user friendly for our end-users. Thanks! -Erinn

Hi there, What is the best way to add filter functionality (to limit a layer based on a particular attribute) to the MapViewer template? I found a few things in the Qt documentation, but I'm pretty new to development and was wondering if you have any suggestions or recommendations for how to accomplish this. Thanks!

Thank you, Edwin! I have a few follow up questions: - Is there any ESRI documentation that outlines how to edit pop-ups in AppStudio? Or similarly, is there any sample code that displays how to limit to some, but not all attributes? While I was able to identify the places in the qml to update, I'm having trouble figuring out how to structure the code to just display a few attributes. - I actually opened a help ticket for this issue and the person I was working with mentioned that it's possible that support for custom attributes in MapViewer may be incorporated into the next AppStudio release. Do you know what the timing is surrounding this? Thanks again for your help! Best, Erinn

Hi Claire, Thanks again for your reply! Do you know if there are any resources available or anyone who could answer specific questions regarding pop-up features in AppStudio? I've hit a bit of a wall on the project I'm working on and I'm not sure where to turn. I haven't come across a lot of specific documentation. Thanks! -Erinn

I'm working on an app based on the MapViewer template. The app is based off of a web map where we created a custom pop-up to display attribute information. This does not appear to carry into the app. Instead, the whole row for the feature in the attribute appears in the pop-up. The custom pop-up in the web map contains photos, as well as hyperlinked URLs. Does anyone know if there's an easy way to copy this down to the app? Someone was able to help me find the place in the panelpage.qml file where the pop-up information can be edited, but I can't figure out how to customize the code appropriately. appstudio configurable pop-up #

Hi Claire! Thank you! That was super helpful and I was able to make a bunch of changes. Another question--do you happen to know how to edit the pop-ups for features withinin the map in AppStudio? Right now, the pop ups are pulling in the entire row in the attribute table. I have customized pop-ups (using html) in the web app that this app is based on, but the format unfortunately don't seem to translate to the native app. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks! -Erinn

I'm new to AppStudio and I really would like to work from one of their provided templates. I created a very basic app using the Map Viewer templates, but I do need to change a few things within the app using QML. When I go into the Qt Creator to edit the code, the only thing that is displayed in the console is: import "MapViewer" MapViewerApp { } Is there a way to edit the provided templates? Thanks for your help! #mapviewer template #appstudio qml #qtcreator
