Access to Geodatabase Precision and Scale

Hi,

I know that upon importing a table to a file geodatabase precision and scale will always be set to 0, 0. My problem is that when I import a table into a file geodatabase and then bring the table into ArcMap extra decimal places appear. For example: A the number 17.3 in Access will appear in ArcMap as 17.299999. This happens regardless of the formatting in Access or Excel or dBASE.  How do I get my numbers to appear as they should? Or even 17.300000 if they must have 6 decimals?

This doesn't happen to all of my numbers, but many of them.

Thanks!
